Ex-pool swimmer, now looking at open water crossings on maps and naively attempting them. Trying my best to cling on to my glory days (junior national swim champ) whilst balancing a 9-5 and learning about the new world of open water swimming!

English Channel British Record

22nd Sept 2026 - 6hr 52 minutes. Six of Britain's elite swimmers take on the English Channel, smashing the British record by 22 minutes, and narrowly missing the world record by 2 minutes 33 seconds. The team raised over £12,000 for RLSS UK.

About Me

Growing up close to the River Thames and the Jubilee River near Windsor, I developed an early connection to blue spaces — both as ecosystems to protect and as places to swim and play in.After graduating from the University of Sheffield in Ecology I began working in the UK water sector, focusing on improving the quality of our rivers and beaches.I’m now taking on some of Europe’s most iconic swims to raise awareness and support for communities facing water scarcity. I hope to help increase access to safe and clean water across the globe, whilst championing healthier rivers and coastlines closer to home.
